I can express myself more and learn more about plants and animals. I can be more happy and positive in my life away. I really make friends anywhere now! It is probably the funnest thing I have ever done!
– Wildflowers Participant
Our Ancestral Skills Camp is aimed at youth ages 6-12 and/or entering grades K-6. This camp is our first camp open to youth of all gender-identities and is an opportunity for participants to dive deep into nature-based skills such as weaving, fire by friction, leather-working and more. Location will be in East Bay Parks and Gardens.
Ancestral Skills Sessions
This summer, we will have 14 students in each session of camp with 2 guides. Each guide will lead a 7 student pod for special activities, lessons, and stations. We hope to be able to have the whole group play games and do some activities together, but will be dependent upon the health and safety measures needed. We will have a pre-zoom call with all participants and caregivers prior to the camp where we will have a chance to discuss the precautionary measures to keep all participants and staff safe during camp. For now, please read our Covid-19 health and safety info.
