Registration and Group Size
All groups are limited to six participants this year. Therefore, in order to offer access to people applying for scholarships, everyone above our first four enrolled participants will be put on a wait list for one week after our early bird and scholarship application deadline. After this point we will notify scholarship applicants and people on waitlist whether you can register. We will open up a second group for each age group if we reach 6 people on the wait list above the first six. Thank you for your patience as we navigate re-opening our “doors” in the time of Covid.
Specific public park locations will be sent to you before the group begins. Locations are dependent on local park availability as some rules and regulations have changed due to Covid-19.
Rite of Passage circles will begin the week of Sept 21 or Oct 5 and run through mid May. The day of the week is listed above and the exact schedules for your group will be sent upon registration.
All ROP circles include:
- 13 after school gatherings from 4-6:30pm* (reduced by 30 min if on Zoom)
- 4 weekend gatherings from 10am-4pm
- 2 parent-only gatherings
- 1 spring camping trip (Fri-Sun)
- 1 parent/auntie meeting
- Caregiver season kickoff Zoom meeting – Sept 22 6-8PM (mandatory)
*If everyone enrolled would like to meet earlier in the day this will be determined once enrolled. GP schedules were made to accommodate school schedules, but given that many are not attending physical schools, there may be flexibility to meet earlier in the day.
EARLY BIRD: $2300
TIMELINE: Early Bird and Scholarship Applications due September 6th.
Because group size is limited, if you are on the wait list or have applied for scholarship,
we will get back to you by Sept 9th.
PAYMENT PLANS: Payment plans are available within registration.
Initial $350 deposit required and the remaining balance is debited
in equal amounts on the 5th of each month through Jan 5, 2021.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships up to $200 can be applied for in the standard registration process.
Scholarships over $200 must be applied for through our separate application.
Health and Safety Precautions
In response to COVID-19, all fall circles will have a maximum ratio of 6 participants with one auntie. We will no longer have shared meals or snacks. While all programs take place outdoors, participants and staff will comply with updated CDC recommendations for health and safety. (Read our complete COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan.) Each program will have 2 extra sessions scheduled in both fall and spring semesters, as some cancellations will likely be necessary due to rain, wildfire smoke, COVID-19, or other unforeseen circumstances. If it becomes unsafe to meet outdoors, programming will move temporarily online, program time will be reduced by 30 mins, and staff will provide meaningful and connective content through Zoom.
