Custom programs are typically conducted outdoors in a local park or open space. Your group’s schedule will be refined by your community and with your assigned Gaia Passages guide and can include 3-12 hours of programming a week. Programs include a caregiver gathering with all participating families, as well as one-on-one conversations between caregivers from each family and the group’s guide. In addition to regular weekday or weekend day gatherings, group campouts are also an option. Total tuition is split amongst participants; the more participants, the less expensive custom programming is for each family.
These custom program offerings from Gaia Passages are CUSTOMIZED to meet each family’s and youth’s specific wants and needs. We ask that one primary caretaker spearhead and organize the formation of each new group, as our growing nonprofit may not be able to fill custom groups from our own marketing efforts. Gaia Passages has limited capacity, but do reach out if you want to participate in one of our programs and need help finding others with shared interests. We will network as we are able!
Gaia Passages currently accepts two types of custom program requests. The New Core Group option is for families who want their youth to experience one of our core programs, but cannot join one of our public groups due to schedule or site logistics. The Personalized Mentoring option is for families who want to partner in designing their mentoring experience, based on which nature and social emotional skills you would like to emphasize. With both custom program options, families may choose whether the program will be open for public enrollment or kept closed to their community/ pod.
We know that getting outdoors and having strong, consistent mentorship is a recipe for resilience, connection, and creativity. We look forward to partnering with you! Check out our FAQ section for more information about custom programs.
Once we have initial interest information from a Sponsoring Caregiver, we will match you with one of our amazing guides who will work with you to design a nature based mentoring experience. All staff are trained in the Gaia Passages model and bring with them professionalism, nature connection and ancestral arts mentoring, and social emotional skill sets that will weave into their time on the land with the program participants. We will be in touch within 10 days with further information!
